Grad trip dreams

I know it is abit early to think about grad trips even before FYP but seeing and hearing about seniors and friends who recently went or are still roaming the world on their grad trips kinda makes me envious. This is a pretty funny...poor Justin! http://goingfurther.wordpress.com/

So my grad trip plans? A few options but no money no talk la. Here they are, in order of the most cheapo to the most extravagant:

1. Travel overland by bus/train/ferry around Southeast Asia and see what happens (alternatively, do a Motorcycle Diaries and be like Che...but then I have to pass the motorbike test first).

2. Take the budget airline to Sydney and find my aunt and uncle. Work my way around the Australian cities of Melbourne, Darwin and Brisbane by land in search of my ever-mobile Aussie mates. Maybe try to make my way to Queenstown, the extreme sports capital in Kiwi-land to try all the crazy stuff if I have the spare cash.

3. Buy the cheapest plane ticket to Osaka and make my way to Kobe or Himeji and arrive at Yuko-san's doorstep. Then go around Japan knocking on all my Japanese friends' doors and see who is in.

4. Buy the cheapest plane ticket to Paris and make my way to Rouen in Normandy. Repeat step 3 but this time to Cecile and my other French friends.

5. Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Beijing (Ms Hui Jie I didn't forget but it's very very ex!!!)

The other day Ah Lian Grace said I come back to Singapore only for the food and not because I miss my friends and family. Gulp. How how, me and my wanderlust.
