While LJ will be off to the "Land of the Free, Home of the Brave" (I think the Star-Spangled Banner is one of the most beautiful yet hardest national anthems to sing ever) next semester, I'll be off on another adventure to Nepal, land of the Himalayas, Maoists, Gurkhas, the Dalai Lama, and the cradles of Buddhism and Hinduism. I'll be writing/photographing for an English expat travel magazine there. A preview of what's on the cards for moi:

So yes, we're all going our own less-travelled roads.
But I have half a semester more to toil through first.
Bummer.

Haha, heard about it thru some seniors who went there for their internships previously and got the contacts via my Indian photojourn prof who spent some time in Nepal before...
Dates are not cofirmed yet, but I'll have to start my internship by Jan 5th and it's supposed to be 6 months...so I'll probably leave in late Dec and be back sometime in June or July next year.

Does that mean you'll be graduating a semester later?
haha nope CS and engin students do their attachment for 1 entire sem. its not like ours. their attachment is a component of their course and takes up one sem. haha ours is also a core component but only 8-10 weeks!
