New York Part 1

OK, here we go...

At the Atons' house: Eveline, Melissa, Hyo Jung, Cecile, Anais, Sue Aton, Me, Aurelia, Eunice, Walter Aton. The Atons were kind enough to let us stay a night in their house in Kansas City last Friday night as our flight was early on Saturday morning from Kansas City to New York. The Atons' daughter, Brittany, is the roommate of Aurelia.
"Stop taking pictures of us!"

At Times Square, and a very excited Eveline. Almost all of us said a cuss word when we first stepped out of the subway onto Times Square. Since then, we have learnt that a very common french cuss word is "Putain!", which means whore.

The ubiquitous NYC yellow taxi and the wailing fire engine on Times Square.

I love M&Ms!

"I'm going to eat all the M&Ms in this store!" said an-overly-enthusiastic Cecile.

M&Ms of all colours! Even silver and gold!

Yeah! A Saturday Night Fever-inspired giant blue M&M.

Back at our hostel room. The room was pretty basic, but otherwise good enough for me since we only paid $18 per night.

It's not as scandalous as it seems...

Our hostel from outside. It looked like a haunted house.

At Central Park. New Yorkers have this thing about dressing up and walking their dogs everywhere.

The Brady Bunch at Central Park. Top row from left: Ivan, Eunice, Cecile, Anni. Bottom row from left: Hyo Jung, Eveline, Anais, Aurelia.

Central Park lake.

"Woohoo we are in Central Park!"

My mum and sis will say that I have gained weight. Don't worry, I will lose it all before I go back to Singapore.

The famous horse rides around Central Park in Manhattan.

Some dancers at Fifth Avenue during the Easter Sunday parade.

"You're fired!"

Some roads were closed during Easter Sunday for the parade.

A pair of shitheads walking along the closed road during the parade.

Random picture of a weird and unknown character during the parade.

More bunny hairbands a la Bridget Jones.

More pictures to follow. I took a grand total of 1166 pictures will in New York. Plus about 30 minutes of video footage. And I have tons of school work to do. Welcome back to normal life, whatever's normal.
