The internet service in our house has been down for the past week, so I haven’t been able to get online at home. The office internet is shaky as well, and with only four hours of electricity each day I hardly have any time to complete my work. Nothing much has happened recently, except that the rains have finally arrived in Kathmandu, but it’s more like a drizzle compared to the torrential thunderstorms which we are used to in Singapore. The guys have gone to Suket in western Nepal to visit some Maoist cantonment there and Yen is off on another sojourn around the country. So I am home alone. Not that I mind. Great time for reflection and I get the toilet all to myself.
To mum: The land line is also down due to load-shedding so if you have any problems calling me just call me on my Nepali mobile phone.
