I know this has got nothing to do with Mizzou, but this is what comes out of hanging around the house for the past few days. Below is the reason why I love to read Victorian literature, especially Austen, Gaskell and Eliot, and one of the reasons why I love the BBC. An excerpt of the new BBC miniseries, Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell. Imelda Staunton is the perfect person to play Miss Pole in Cranford, even better than her role as Umbridge in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Fast forward to 3:21 for that priceless line. Ha!
And I'm also currently watching the new BBC adaptation of Austen's Sense and Sensibility. I must say it's quite different from Lee Ang's version starring Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet. But it looks promising so far.
Alright, back to my last minute packing then.
