2009 is a year of travel for me. I probably left a huge carbon footprint this year that the peeps at Copenhagen are likely to frown upon. But I'm glad that I got to see more of the world that we live in. For one, I would never have gotten to see Karwan Bazaar in Dhaka, Bangladesh, one of the busiest vegetable markets in Asia. It's being able to see and experience such a scene that makes it all worthwhile for me. Video editing courtesy of Zak and footage courtesy of SX. I merely tagged along at 1am that memorable night and pressed the shutter. The place might look rather shady, but I had the protection of two rusty-armoured knights and a local Bangla guide so I wasn't too worried...
Singaporeans seem to have a negative perception of South Asians. For all the negative stereotypes, I think South Asians have a zest for life that is unmatched in most other cultures.
