My 7 negatively-written moral poems

A 10-minute before-the-office-rush morning scribble:

Anger

It corrupts
It consumes
It blinds
It alienates

Defensiveness

Is for survival
Is for the unsure
Creates a façade
And inspires tunnel vision

Patience

Is a silent virtue
Only to be felt
When it leaves the room
And irritation sets in

Compromise

Is yet another quiet virtue
That only the most sensitive
Can have an idea
While the rest take for granted

Tug of war

Makes sitting on the rope
Unsteady and precarious
Fences too
Where spikes are waiting
To pierce right through you

Independence

Can only be achieved
Through self-reliance
And not just
Taking advantage of others

Trust

Is like respect
Has a fragile ego
Which once broken
Usually stays broken
